Learning from within
Daniel Braham has joined the growing SCS Facility Services team as trainee operative, as part of the firms commitment to support local young people, offering training and employment opportunities.
Daniel will take on a junior role, working alongside experienced trades people and learning a variety of trades including joinery, plastering and plumbing, whilst completing his NVQ in plastering at a nearby college.
With some experience in the building industry, Daniel was keen to develop a skilled role and was eager to follow the multi-skilled operative route. He explained: “In the past I’ve had some experience in plastering but I knew that I wanted to have a more general knowledge of the building industry. When I heard about the opportunity at SCS, I knew that this type of role was perfect for me, allowing me to gain on-site training, shadowing experienced and knowledgeable team members.”
Now on site and in a permanent position at SCS, Daniel will be given the opportunity to grow his career within the company, following a structured development and salary scale.
Luke Brennan at SCS added: “Daniel is an enthusiastic individual who really wants to learn and develop professionally. It’s great to be able to offer him this opportunity within a diverse business where he can learn a range of in demand trades and skills. Upon successful completion of all training, he’ll be offered a junior role with increased salary and benefits.”
